On Tuesday September 22 2009, Montréal will celebrate the seventh edition of In town, without my car! day and part of downtown will be closed to car traff>ic. Everybody is invited to take part in the many activities to be held during this day that is dedicated to active and public transportation, health and the environment.


Take this opportunity to give your car a break and try alternative means of transportation: commuter train, bus, metro, bike, carpooling, etc.

Hours when streets will be closed to car traffic on September 22, 2009

• Streets indicated in blue: from 9:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.
• Sainte-Catherine Street, indicated in yellow : from 12:01 a.m. to 11:59 p.m.

Car traffic will be prohibited between:

• De Maisonneuve Blvd. West and René-Lévesque Blvd. West (open)
• McGill College and Saint-Urbain streets (open)

Parking

• Parking lots will be accessible before 9:30 a.m. and after 3:30 p.m.
• Street parking (meters) will be prohibited between 12:01 a.m. and 3:30 p.m. (including on de Maisonneuve and René-Lévesque boulevards and McGill College and Saint-Urbain streets).
