Train de l'Est

Having been awarded the certificate of authorization of completion for the Train de l'Est project, the AMT can now begin building this new commuter rail line starting in summer 2010.

Renewal of train fleet

Starting in the fall of 2009, ageing fleet will progressively be replaced with 2-storey cars, which will ultimately increase capacity by 70%.

Reserved lanes on Pie-IX

Instituting permanent reserved lanes along the Pie-IX boulevard artery will provide for more reliable, faster service and reduce the number of transfers required. This corridor could reach 70,000 commutes per day!

Sustainable development

Every one of our decisions, actions and endeavours are undertaken within a sustainable development context

.

Planning

Our studies allow us to anticipate the actions to be taken. They allow us to see that we need to move forward, and to join those building the future of Montréal, the sixth largest region in North America in terms of passenger railway transport.

Public consultations

You are invited to attend the consultation and information meetings on the commuter rail service. For two years, the AMT meets with its customers to measure their satisfaction and to determine the elements that need improvement. These meetings will be held in five regions in order to reach all the customers of our five lines. We will take a look back at the measures implemented to improve the service and we will present you the projects to come.

Programme d'aide métropolitaine au transport adapté

This program was designed to reflect the concerns and comments of the AMT's partners, and it addresses the prime objective of improving the efficiency of commuting by paratransit in a metropolitan situation. The program is consistent with the aims of the Programme d'aide gouvernementale au transport adapté aux personnes handicapée sponsored by the Ministère des Transports.
