In order to improve public transit access to the new McGill University Health Centre (MUHC), we performed work at the Vendôme multimodal hub. Patients and visitors can now reach the MUHC Glen site quickly, safely and affordably thanks to the new AMT and STM facilities.
By improving the fluidity of trips in the Vendôme commuter train station and adjoining metro station, these transitory measures will respond to the anticipated ridership increase in the tunnel, thus giving public transport customers improved service.

The $1.6 M investment is entirely financed by the Ministère des Transports du Québec (MTQ).
Second metro station entrance: a long-term project
The MTQ, STM, AMT, MUHC and the City of Montréal are working together on a permanent solution for a second, fully accessible Vendôme metro-entrance shelter. In the meantime, the STM's 77 bus line, which serves the MUHC Glen site from the Lionel-Groulx metro station, gives persons with reduced mobility direct, quick and safe access the new hospital. The Lionel-Groulx station is equipped with elevators and this line's buses have boarding ramps for people with reduced mobility.
