The OPUS card for students, which is personal and non-transferable, is proof of your eligibility for a reduced or student fare. If you don’t have it with you when you travel, you will have to pay the regular fare.
If you are a full-time student between the ages of 15 and 25, you must renew your OPUS card with photo by October 31 of every year in order to continue benefiting from reduced mass transit fares.
Tip: to avoid line-ups as the deadline approaches, you can apply for or renew your OPUS card with photo as soon as classes start!
Just go to a metropolitan ticket office or a service centre. Make sure you have the required documents with you, which vary depending on your age.
