Bike

Did you know that Montréal is the first cycling city in North America? With a great network of bike paths, the BIXI service and the possibility of parking your bike or taking it with you, cycling is the ideal supplement to public transportation when the weather permits!

BIXI

With BIXI, bikes are an integral part of Montréal's public transit network. BIXI's public bike sharing service offers rates for members and occasional users.

For details, consult the rate structure.

Bike shelters

There are two controlled-access bike shelter pilot projects in Greater Montréal:

  • The Bikezone, located in the Deux-Montagnes park-and-ride lot, is free and reserved for pre-registered cyclists with an OPUS+ membership.

  • The STM's bike shelter  is located at the Lionel-Groulx metro station and can be accessed using an OPUS card loaded with a special fare.
